Jeremy Mindell has been lecturing in taxation for over 20 years.
His audiences have included tax and share scheme conferences, employees, external clients and staff. Known on the circuit as an accomplished and entertaining speaker, Jeremy is in high demand for tax, pensions, share schemes and remuneration events. Drawing on his years of public speaking Jeremy believes that key to the success in lecturing is to engage the audience and ensure that they participate in some way. It is only through doing that that you have a chance of imparting valuable technical knowledge.
Jeremy is also one of the few individuals in the country who has both qualified as a Chartered Tax Advisor but also has a certificate from the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development.
Some people believe that tax is too dry a subject to make both entertaining and understandable. Even Einstein struggled with tax. However Jeremy believes that by ensuring that the audience engages and participates that you can leave them with a valuable and long lasting insight in to the topic that you are speaking on.
Research shows that an educated audience will only retain on average about 30% of what is said to them. Upping that percentage requires a thought provoking and entertaining style that goes through the principles of what one is trying to communicate before going in to the technical details. He also believes that a sense of humour is essential when dealing in these subjects.
Jeremy’s outside interests include history and politics which affords him plenty of opportunities to hone his communication skills.
